The Jubilee Inn is a private country home, in West Anstey, Devon owned by the Elliott family. It was originally a public ‘Roadhouse’ Inn from the late 1930’s and the property has prospered through transformation and change since opening in 1936 as “the Royal Jubilee Inn”, owned by farmers to film stars, through wars and peacetime but always with a with a rich history to tell.
Nestled in the heart Devon, under the internationally-renowned Dark Skies Reserve of Exmoor National Park it briefly reopened in 2016 after being closed for many years and achieved a nomination at No. 6 by The Sunday Times Top 50 Best Value British Hotels in 2017, despite limited open days. The current owners, the Elliott family, have a unique vision to have a perfect home for children, life and pets ~ family comes first. With outstanding attention to general wellness, and a healthy diets of locally sourced produce from the surroundings farms, it achieved three Taste of the West Awards, Two Golds and a Silver and was admitted into the Trencherman’s Guide in 2017. It was also listed in as one of the top 50 Best Places to Eat, Drink and Dine by the Saturday Times. The family returned the premises to a private home in late 2017, welcoming only special friends to enjoy our hospitality, although the owners welcome enquiries to support charity events and it’s local community.
