The Jubilee Inn is a private home, closing to the general public from January 2018. Originally a ‘Roadhouse’ Inn from the 1930’s the property has prospered through transformation and change since opening in 1936 as “the Royal Jubilee Inn”, owned by farmers to film stars, through wars and peacetime but always with a with a rich history to tell. Following New Year Celebrations this 2017 The Jubilee Inn will once again revert to a private family home for another chapter in it’s life.
Nestled in the heart Devon, under the internationally-renowned Dark Skies Reserve of Exmoor National Park we are closing our doors after 2 years of public operation, during which time we have been nominated at No. 6 by The Sunday Times Top 50 Best Value British Hotels, achieved three Taste of the West Awards, Two Golds and a Silver and admitted into the Trencherman’s Guide in 2017. In 2017 we are also listed as one of the top 50 Best Places to Eat, Drink and Dine by the Saturday Times.
We provide our guests with a home from home experience with fabulous fine dining and honestly priced, wholesome, good food, featuring local produce accompanied by ales and fine wines from our cellars. We currently offer seasonal en-suite guest rooms and cater for all events, including wedding ceremonies.
